We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Bid Lead to join our growing Sales Enablement Team here at Holman UK in a permanent full-time position. This role will be based out of our HQ in Chippenham with the opportunity for hybrid working. The salary for this role will be £45,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.
As a Bid Lead, you will play a pivotal role in helping Holman win, retain and grow customer relationships by leading the development of compelling, high-quality proposals and sales content. Working across multiple business functions, you will coordinate bid responses, shape winning strategies and ensure Holman's value proposition is communicated clearly and consistently to prospective and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and facilitate the bid proposal process, coordinating responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with internal stakeholders.
Create compelling sales proposals, presentations, executive sumaries, sell sheets and other sales collateral tailored to the specific needs of prospective and existing clients.
Manage proposal timelines, ensuring all deadlines and submission requirements are met.
Facilitate project strategy discussions, including kick-off meetings, review sessions and stakeholder workshops.
Develop proposal strategies by reviewing requirements, identifying opportunities and collaborating with account owners and subject matter experts.
Gather, coordinate and consolidate proposal information from stakeholders across the business.
Write, edit and refine proposal content to ensure consistency, quality and alignment with customer requirements.
Customise existing content and create original material that persuasively communicates Holman's solutions and value proposition.
Identify and communicate potential risks associated with proposals and submissions.
Ensure all proposals adhere to Holman's brand standards, messaging framework and style guidelines.
Maintain proposal content libraries, sales tools and collateral repositories.
Support wider sales and marketing activities by providing due diligence, client references, programme descriptions and industry information.
Build strong working relationships with subject matter experts, marketing teams, sales colleagues and business leaders.
Support all stages of the Holman sales process and contribute to departmental projects as required.
We are looking for people who have:
Minimum of 3 years' experience creating, editing and managing high-quality proposal content within a complex business environment.
Professional business writing experience, with experience writing RFP responses being highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams and leading proposal or bid-related discussions.
Experience with Ombud (or similar RFP management software) and Salesforce.com would be advantageous.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Strong customer service focus and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining current industry knowledge.
