Overview
AtkinsRéalis is looking for a recent civil/ structural new graduate to join a dedicated team of engineers working on hydroelectric projects. In this role, you will work within the engineering team for the analysis, design and rehabilitation of structures as part of various dam, hydraulic works, building and bridge projects in the field of hydroelectricity.
Your role within the team
As a member of the Hydro Power & Dams Structures’ team, you will:
Perform engineering work in compliance with AtkinsRéalis QA programs, codes, standards, and regulations.
Participate in detailed design of structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete, or masonry elements.
Conduct structural and seismic analysis, encompassing both static and dynamic analysis, and generating analysis reports.
Utilize relevant software programs to prepare engineering computations and analyses.
Create various technical documents, such as engineering drawings, change paper markups, calculations, reports, design requirements, bill of materials, and technical specifications.
Provide technical guidance and instruction to Designers/Drafters.
Conduct field walkdowns during different design phases as necessary and assisting with field construction and execution activities, including field changes and design revisions.
About you
Bachelor's degree or Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
0 to 2 years of relevant experience;
Proficiency in engineering software programs such as SAP2000 and Mathcad
Familiarity with National Building Code, CSA standards, and relevant industrial regulations.
Capable of resolving engineering issues and technical problems using fundamental technical knowledge.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Expected compensation for this role is between $60,600 - $83,400) Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
