We are seeking a Software Support Activity (SSA) Tester / Integrator to provide software integration, system testing, troubleshooting, and technical support. The position will support testing and integration activities across government and contractor facilities and will work closely with software developers, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, test teams, and subject matter experts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with system integration and test activities in complex Windows/Linux environments, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to analyze technical documentation, system logs, error reports, and test results to identify and resolve system and integration issues.



Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and document test activities throughout the system and software build lifecycle.
  • Support multiple test disciplines, including Automation Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Build Acceptance Testing (BAT), Verification & Validation (V&V) Testing, Cybersecurity Compliance Testing (CCT), System and functional testing, and other test events as required.
  • Develop, review, and maintain test cases, test procedures, test scenarios, and associated test documentation.
  • Support test case planning and management, including traceability between requirements, test cases, procedures, and results.
  • Execute test procedures and accurately record test results, discrepancies, defects, and corrective actions.
  • Support test event preparation, execution, troubleshooting, and closeout.
  • Analyze test results and assist in determining whether systems meet established functional, technical, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Maintain accurate test records and provide technical input to test reports and other program documentation.
  • Review technical documentation, system configurations, test procedures, logs, error reports, and other technical data to identify system and integration issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, virtualization, and operating system issues encountered during integration and testing.
  • Conduct technical discussions and interviews with engineers, developers, system administrators, operators, and subject matter experts to obtain information necessary to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Identify root causes of integration and system problems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during dry runs, cyber implementation activities, development, integration, and formal testing.
  • Document problems, troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and lessons learned.
  • Support software integration throughout the system builds and release lifecycle.
  • Identify impacts to installation, configuration, and operational procedures resulting from software or hardware changes.
  • Resolve integration issues identified during dry runs, cybersecurity implementation, development, testing, and system build activities.
  • Support installation, configuration, testing, and validation of system software and software upgrades.
  • Provide technical input regarding software dependencies, system interfaces, configuration requirements, and integration risks.
  • Assist with maintaining the integrity and operational readiness of the integrated system environment.
  • Maintain and support the integrity, stability, and operational readiness of the system operating environment.
  • Perform system maintenance activities, including backup, recovery, file maintenance, and configuration management.
  • Install, configure, and test operating system and system software upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, application, hardware, and configuration issues.
  • Support system configuration and baseline maintenance activities.
  • Verify system functionality following maintenance, upgrades, configuration changes, and software installations.
  • Assist with maintaining system documentation and configuration records.

Requirements

  • Experience performing software, system, or integration testing in a complex technical environment.
  • Experience developing, executing, and documenting test cases and test procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software, hardware, operating system, network, and integration problems.
  • Ability to analyze system logs, error messages, test results, and technical documentation to identify problems and determine corrective actions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, developers, system administrators, testers, operators, and technical subject matter experts.
  • Experience working in Windows and/or Linux server environments.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with system hardening and cybersecurity compliance activities.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary engineering and test team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to government and contractor facilities in support of testing and integration events.
  • Familiarity with system configuration management, software baselines, and change management.
  • Experience supporting systems through development, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a CompTIA Security Plus certification prior to start date.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
