Clerk of the Superior CourtAbout the Position
The Mailroom Courier/Clerk supports the mailroom functions and transports legal files, mail, parcels, and/or equipment, and processes mail in a timely manner in order to facilitate the functions of the Clerk of the Superior Court.

We Require
Six months of administrative, face-to-face customer service, mailroom, or related experience
High School diploma
A combination of related post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Job Contributions
Drives county vehicles to transport U.S.P.S. mail, interoffice mail (which may include live checks), court files, exhibits, computer equipment, and supplies throughout Maricopa County facilities.
Answers phones and emails to coordinate special requests from Court divisions and Clerk of Superior Court departments.
Receives and X-rays incoming deliveries
Creates a log sheet for deliveries received
Sorts and opens Clerk of Court U.S.P.S. mail
Creates a log sheet for live checks received from customers
Occasionally prepares outgoing overnight shipments (i.e., USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.)
Performs mass mailing duties using an inserter machine.
Assists with facilities requests as needed.
Working Conditions
Must possess, or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid Arizona driver's license
Must meet the qualifications to serve as a Passport Agent (per U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs guidelines Title 22, part 51) and successfully complete training
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and waist to shoulders, and work for extended periods in temperatures frequently exceeding 100 degrees
Work requires travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
