Overview
The Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for supporting the monthly and annual financial reporting processes in accordance with GAAP and IFRS requirements, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial information for both local and HQ reporting. The role involves financial analysis, variance investigation, accrual preparation, management reporting, and collaboration with budget holders and HQ teams.
The position plays a key role in identifying reporting gaps and process improvements, driving necessary system enhancements, and supporting the implementation and ongoing application of GAAP accounting within financial reporting systems.
Responsibilities
- Participate in month closing according to GAAP reporting.
- Participate in yearly IFRS audit process execution.
- Analysis of monthly actuals vs forecast, work on variances disclosure per request
- Calculate monthly market contribution based on the reporting systems data for HQ reporting team
- Review and investigate differences vs forecast in the HQ provided margin split by SKU within closure
- Prepare monthly the accruals for GAAP reporting based on the Budget-holders’ data and local reporting
- Prepare one-off disclosure requests from HQ on actuals
- Propose and drive necessary system’s changes based on the investigated issues
- Support implementation of GAAP accounting in the reporting systems
Qualifications
- Higher education in business administration, preferably in Finance, accounting, audit
- Previous experience/internship in finance, accounting, audit
- Fluent in Georgian and English languages
- MS Office programs required, especially Excel on advanced level (this will be tested)
- Clear, effective and persuasive communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing business environment
- Excellent team player
