The Principal, National Tax is responsible for developing, implementing and executing tax services.

This role includes leading Tax Research Services in National Tax.

Duties and Responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

  • Create a positive team experience.
  • Supervises consulting and compliance work delegated to staff and managers.

Client:

  • Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
  • Develops new client relationships and works with Ryan global management team to expand the practice to other markets.
  • Works with Ryan National Tax practice to develop new planning ideas and identify and assist in t delivering tax saving refund opportunities to multi-national clients.
  • Coordinates the delivery of National Tax services to Ryan multinational clients.
  • Presents presentations to prospects and clients.

Value:

  • Develops and supervises National Tax compliance projects
  • Serves as subject matter expert on National Tax in assigned jurisdictions / geographical areas
  • Contributes to thought leadership/webinars that contributes to strengthening
    Ryan’s brand in the marketplace.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: 

Master of Tax or Juris Doctor degree in related field required with at least 10 to 12 years prior experience in a progressively complex tax accounting and research environment. 
 

Computer Skills: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses: 

Valid Passport required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees in the National Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm’s policies and applicable laws.
