Description

Weave is building Isaac, a general-purpose personal robot designed for the home. We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Operations Assistant to help keep our day-to-day robotics and data collection operations running smoothly.

This is a highly practical, physical role for someone who enjoys keeping things organized, taking care of what needs to get done, and helping a fast-moving team stay productive. The work will vary from day to day and includes supporting robot laundry operations, maintaining data collection workspaces, organizing supplies and materials, running errands, and handling light administrative and bookkeeping tasks.

A significant part of the role involves supporting laundry operations at one of our deployment sites. This includes loading and unloading washers and dryers, moving and organizing laundry, staging clean laundry for robots, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.

At the Weave office, you’ll help keep our robotics and data collection environments ready for use. This includes clearing and resetting workstations, organizing clothing and robot materials, restocking supplies and snacks, picking up items as needed, and generally making sure the team has what it needs to operate effectively.

You’ll also work directly with our robots at a basic operational level. This may include starting up robots, monitoring them during operation, repositioning or restarting them when needed, running simple diagnostics, and communicating issues to Weave’s Operations and Engineering teams. No robotics or engineering experience is required, and we’ll train you on the necessary procedures.

The ideal person is reliable, resourceful, organized, and comfortable switching between different kinds of work. On a given day, you might do several loads of laundry, reset a data collection area, move equipment, start up a robot, pick up supplies, organize receipts, and prepare materials for the next day’s operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily laundry operations, including operating washers and dryers, moving and organizing laundry, and staging clothing for robot operations

  • Keep laundry, robotics, and data collection workspaces clean, organized, and ready for use

  • Clear, reset, and prepare data collection stations between sessions

  • Organize and restock clothing, supplies, snacks, robot materials, and other operational inventory

  • Run local errands and pick up supplies, clothing, or materials as needed

  • Start up robots and prepare them for operation using established procedures

  • Monitor robots and perform basic troubleshooting, including simple diagnostics, restarts, and repositioning

  • Communicate robot or operational issues clearly to Weave’s Operations and Engineering teams

  • Track receipts, purchases, expenses, inventory, and other basic bookkeeping information

  • Receive, move, organize, and store deliveries, equipment, and supplies

  • Help with miscellaneous hands-on operational tasks as they arise

Requirements

  • Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through

  • Able to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs

  • Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, moving laundry and supplies, and standing for extended periods

  • Organized and able to keep physical spaces and workflows orderly

  • Comfortable switching between different types of tasks throughout the day

  • Comfortable using a laptop or tablet to start robots, run simple diagnostics, and follow basic troubleshooting procedures

  • Willing to learn basic robot operating procedures; no prior robotics or engineering experience required

  • Comfortable keeping simple records of purchases, receipts, expenses, and inventory

  • Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail

  • Able to work independently while coordinating with teammates in person and remotely

  • Willing to run errands and handle practical, hands-on assignments as needed

Prior experience in operations, facilities, hospitality, laundry services, office support, production, warehouse operations, or another hands-on role is helpful but not required.
