Tube & Sheet Laser Operator- Weekend Shift, 5:00am - 6:30 pm Fri. Sat. Sun.

Description

SUMMARY:  This position is primarily responsible for set-up and operation of a CNC tube & sheet laser cutting machines to produce products meeting customer quality requirements. Operators must also operate and process parts according to print part no. and destination requirements. Operators must monitor machine cutting performance and utilization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Perform typical laser cutting operations.

· Select proper cutting programs, and proper fixtures.

· Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.

· Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.

· Perform prescribed maintenance as required.

· Perform all dimensional inspections.

· Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.

· May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.

· Operates a forklift
