Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. You will maintain a visible presence, support security-related procedures, and help deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations through required reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of industrial buildings, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to identify security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Follow established procedures for deliveries, contractor access, vehicle traffic, and restricted areas within a manufacturing and industrial location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
