the role
Performance Improvement (PI) Practice within Nordic’s Strategic Advisory Services (SAS) is responsible for helping healthcare organizations address some of their most challenging strategic, clinical, and operational problems for clients across the healthcare ecosystem.
Members within our PI project teams wear multiple hats to deliver quality work, including building insightful data analyses, gathering requirements, mapping workflows, designing use cases, and researching the latest changes impacting the healthcare industry. As such, our Senior Consultants are expected to:
Think creatively and support the delivery of a wide range of strategic initiatives
Have strong communication and collaboration skills as they work closely with client end-users, technical developers, clinical providers, and senior leadership
Demonstrate qualitative and quantitative management consulting skills
Lead workstreams and facilitate client-facing meetings
With guidance and mentorship from project and practice leadership, the Senior Consultant role provides individuals with extensive opportunities to gain experience across clinical, financial, patient experience, and technical solutions sought after within the healthcare industry to improve wellness and care for all.
Key responsibilities
A Senior Consultant within PI will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Partner with PI team members to implement advisory solutions and demonstrate the value of the solution throughout the client engagement.
Collaborate with project leadership to develop and maintain project management artifacts including but not limited to workplans, status reports, decision and risk logs
Create complex analytical models to drive unique solutions to complex healthcare problems
Develop detailed financial analysis, statistical reports, visualizations, and presentations for both internal team and client review
Facilitate client interviews and meetings
Conduct detailed analyses to identify specific opportunities for improvement, as well as implementation recommendations
Consistently deliver work products that are high-quality and client-ready
Contribute to practice knowledge capital and tool development
Develop and update related work plans, issue logs, status reports, and related initiative trackers.
Review and validate conducted analyses and client deliverables before submission
Complete quality reviews on team member work products before delivery to client personnel, validating team member findings and observations, and corroborate team member process improvement and analytic activities
Mentor junior resources
Demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
Minimum requirements
Education & Industry
Bachelor’s degree required in Nursing, Master’s degree preferred
4+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (i.e. Nursing, Nursing Administration, Clinical Informatics, Allied Health, Epic implementations and optimization)
Epic Certification in Orders with preference of multiple clinical or reporting application certifications

Creativity and critical thinking in solving complex problems
Strong presentation development skills (e.g., translating data to information, identifying themes, storyboarding)
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Ability to balance multiple assignments at the same time
Attention to detail and able to quickly pivot assignments based on changing priorities
Core Software Skills
Strong expertise using Microsoft Office products
Prefer experience working with Epic EMR
Demonstrated knowledge using some of the following tools:
GenAI Assistants (CoPilot)
Analytical (PowerBI, Tableau)

Work is remote
Travel is typically minimal but may be required up to 25% of the time
