JOB PURPOSE

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking for a Senior Business Analyst.

Operating in a data-intensive healthcare or provider data environment, this role focuses on analyzing large datasets such as claims, utilization, and provider performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities. The position requires leveraging tools like SQL, Business Objects, and data tools to produce both standardized and ad hoc reports, while driving automation to improve turnaround times and consistency. It plays a vital role in supporting market and operational teams by fulfilling large data requests, providing SPS reporting expertise, and delivering insights with clear root cause analysis and actionable recommendations. Strong stakeholder engagement is essential to refine reporting requirements and ensure outputs directly support performance optimization and informed decision-making.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
• Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
• Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
• Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports
• Provides SPS reporting expertise, data analysis, provider data reporting and market support for large data file requests
• Leverage tools such as Business Objects & other tools for semi-automation and automation of reports where appropriate
• Engages with submitter to refine and ensure alignment to requests

• Analyzing and producing daily/weekly/monthly reports using SQL
• Generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions
• This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit

QUALIFICATION

Preferably BA/BS degree; Graduate with experience in analyzing and producing reports using SQL; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of experience; and 3+ years of any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background of Senior Business Analyst role.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Domain knowledge of Provider / Claims / Enrolment is preferred
• Proficiency with SQL Queries; SQL Certification is preferred
• Proficiency with MS office
• Knowledge of relational database structures, and standard query and reporting tools; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
• Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills strongly preferred
