Job Description
Court Maintenance Attendant (Seasonal)
Reports to: Director of Racquet Sports, Assistant Director of Racquet Sports
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Required workdays: Monday-Fridays, 6:00 A.M-12:30 P.M.
Job Tasks/Duties
· Prepare all tennis and pickleball courts each morning.
· Maintain proper clay courts water level condition in the system behind each tennis courts.
· Sweep and line clay courts.
· Blow leaves, dust, and debris from hard tennis courts and pickleball courts.
· Repair loose windscreens and fencing, particularly after heavy rain or strong storms.
· Squeegee pickleball and hard tennis courts after rain and make sure they are safe and ready for play.
· Check all courts throughout the workday and address maintenance needs as necessary.
· Clean, inspect, and properly store court maintenance equipment, including: Roller, Steel rake, Brush rake, soft rake, Clay spreader, Pressure washer, Clay court line roller and Hand tools.
· Remove trash from the tennis and pickleball courts each morning and before leaving for the day.
· Clean and blow sidewalks and walkways to keep them free of leaves, dirt, and debris.
· Keep tennis and pickleball furniture clean and organized.
· Pick up stray tennis balls around the courts and facility.
· Restock water bottles, cups, and cold towels as needed. Submit supply requests when inventory is low.
· Assist Lake Nona members and guests with basic facilities, including the use of tennis and pickleball ball machines and demo racquets.
· Check tennis and pickleball ball machines and make sure they are clean and in working order.
· Set up canopies and snack tables for tennis matches and events.
· Clean and maintain the Bath & Racquet golf cart daily.
· Report equipment problems, damage, or repairs needed to the Director or Assistant Director of Racquet Sports.
· Keep portable bathrooms clean and properly stocked during construction.
· Essential Requirements & Qualifications
· Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
· Two-to-three-year competitive playing experience.
· Experience with court maintenance.
· Physical Demands and Work Environment
· This position includes (long periods of) standing, walking, running, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions.
· Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
· Must have the ability to work in hot and muggy conditions on a continuous basis.
· Ability to maintain rallies during instruction or matches with inexperienced players.
· Sufficient stamina to tolerate hot and humid outdoor weather for several consecutive hours.
· Frequent use of court maintenance machinery.
· Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
