Draftsman (HD Maps Production) - Saudi Nationals Only

About The Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Draftsman to join our HD Maps Production team focused on autonomous driving technologies. In this role, you will contribute to building and maintaining high-definition (HD) maps that serve as the foundation for autonomous vehicle perception, localization, and navigation systems. You will work closely with engineers, GIS specialists, and data analysts to transform geospatial and sensor data into highly accurate and structured digital map layers.

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and maintain HD map data layers from point clouds data.
• Perform precise drafting and feature annotation following autonomous driving map standards and specifications.
• Ensure geometric accuracy, spatial alignment, and attribute consistency across all map datasets.
• Collaborate with mapping engineers and software teams to validate and integrate HD map data into production pipelines.
• Conduct quality control and assurance checks to maintain data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
• Work with AutoCAD, GIS tools, and 3D visualization software to represent road networks, lane markings, traffic signs, and other critical road features.
• Document and maintain detailed records of production progress and workflow updates.
• Support the development and optimization of mapping templates, tools, and automated workflows.
  

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture, Geomatics, GIS, Surveying, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Draftsman, CAD Technician, or GIS Operator (experience in mapping or transportation projects preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent CAD platforms.
• Basic understanding of GIS principles and geospatial data formats such as shapefiles, GeoJSON, and LAS.
• Familiarity with LiDAR data, 3D modeling, or HD map production workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  

Nice to have skills

• Experience with QGIS, ArcGIS, or other geospatial analysis tools.
• Knowledge of HD map standards for autonomous driving, including ADAS, localization, and semantic mapping.
• Experience with Python or automation scripting for data processing is a plus.
• Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and georeferencing techniques.
