Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Channeling Assistant – Eye Care to support patient coordination, assist medical and nursing teams during eye care procedures, and ensure smooth patient flow within the Eye Theatre and Ward.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient coordination and channeling within the Eye Theatre and Ward.
• Support nursing and medical staff during eye surgical procedures.
• Ensure smooth and efficient patient flow throughout clinical areas.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and required records.
• Provide basic patient care and guidance before and after procedures.
• Assist patients with their needs while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and clinical standards within the work area.
• Follow hospital procedures, safety protocols, and infection-control practices.
• Coordinate with medical and nursing teams to support efficient patient care.

Requirements 

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse.
• Diploma in Nursing / NVQ Level 4 / PHSRC Registration.
• Prior experience in Eye Care will be a distinct advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong patient-care and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with medical and nursing teams.
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and professionalism.
