Summary:

Provides direct patient care in cardiac ICU which may include transplant patients in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Are you an experienced acute care RN who is ready and interested in expanding or pivoting your career into CVICU?

CVICU position requires: Two (2) years of Cardiac IMCU experience or one (1) year general ICU experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ECCO Course completion and a valid BLS and ACLS, from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Responsibilities:

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Evaluates learning needs of the patient and family; provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
