Job Description
Allied Universal is seeking professional and highly motivated Security Guard to join our Security Operations team at Warehouse facility in Edmonton, Alberta.
Location: Edmonton,Alberta
Pay rate : $17.50 Per hour
Employment Type: Full Time
Shift: 1730-2300 - Monday To Friday

Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Guard at Warehouse facility to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. This position involves providing security and monitoring services 24/7 with a focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and assets. Provide professional security services across multiple posts within a high volume at distribution facility including Screening SP,access control, patrol, and surveillance operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying employee, visitor, and contractor credentials.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors for long hours in all weather conditions
- Conduct regular interior and exterior security patrols to identify safety hazards and unauthorized activity.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment to ensure site security.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, medical incidents, and security-related situations.
- Prepare accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Enforce site security policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Monitor loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter access points to protect company assets.
- Provide professional customer service and assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Coordinate with supervisors, site management, and emergency responders during incidents.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Valid AB Security Guard License.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Experience with access control,CCTV monitoring, and incident reporting.
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and conflict de-escalation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and security systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and work in various weather conditions when required.
- Flexible to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service.
