AAF International is seeking a full-time On-Site HVAC Filtration Technician dedicated to supporting a designated customer facility in Taylor, Texas.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day HVAC filter replacement needs of the Customer Site, including comprehensive filter replacement, inspections, inventory management, service planning, and coordination with customer and AAF personnel. This is a hands-on position supporting a large industrial facility. The technician will work throughout the facility, including inside air-handling units (AHUs), mechanical areas, and other HVAC equipment spaces.


This position is more than changing filters. The technician will serve as AAF's primary on-site service representative, taking ownership of the designated customer site daily filtration needs, inventory, planning, and communication.


The successful technician will anticipate what filters, labor, and supplies are needed; coordinate effectively with customer site personnel and the AAF team; identify potential issues before they become problems; and ensure filtration service is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. The technician is expected to build a strong working relationship with the customer while representing AAF professionally and consistently at the Duty Station Site.


Key Responsibilities

  • Survey all potential new service accounts along with new equipment at current service accounts 
  • Manages key accounts: Communication with customers and the Sales team with any changes or needs
  • Route management with service coordinator
  • Training and meetings with service techs Remove used HVAC filters and install new filters throughout the facility.
  • Enter and work inside air-handling units when equipment has been properly secured and all required safety procedures have been followed.
  • Inspect filters, frames, housing, seals, and equipment for proper installation, damage, bypass, or abnormal conditions.
  • Maintain accurate on-site filter inventory and monitor usage to prevent shortages.
  • Forecast upcoming filter and supply requirements.
  • Coordinate filter orders and deliveries with the local AAF branch.
  • Obtain a DOT Medical Card to operate a 16-foot box truck. 
  • Receive, verify, organize, and stage incoming filter deliveries.
  • Develop and maintain filter-change and inspection schedules.
  • Coordinate schedules with Branch Manager and Sales Team, equipment access, and service requirements with customer site personnel.
  • Plan labor, filters, tools, PPE, and supplies required for upcoming work.
  • Coordinate with other AAF technicians when additional labor or resources are needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with AAF Sales and Operations regarding customer expectations, concerns, upcoming requirements, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, filters changed, inventory usage, and completed work.
  • Promptly communicate safety concerns, equipment issues, inventory shortages, or potential service problems.
  • Follow all AAF and customer site safety policies, site procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Follow required lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before entering or servicing air-handling equipment.
  • Safely enter, exit, and work inside air-handling units and HVAC equipment spaces.


Requirements

  • HVAC technical Certification from accredited school 
  • 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance; HVAC experience preferred.
  • Experience with Surveying.
  • Safety Training
  • HVAC, air filtration, facilities maintenance, mechanical, construction, or industrial service experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use basic hand tools.
  • Must successfully complete all required customer site-access, safety, and security training.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Security Clearance 
  • Computer and MS Office experience
  • OSHA 10 or above required
  • Valid  Driver License Required 
  • Strong organizational, planning, and inventory-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage daily responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills for email, scheduling, inventory tracking, and service documentation.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co workers
  • Must be comfortable driving 16-foot box trucks

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that is partially indoors and partially outdoors.
  • Maintain awareness of pedestrian traffic and ensure pedestrians are clear of the forklift’s path before proceeding.
  • Closed toe shoes and long pants are required. Sleeveless shirts are prohibited in the warehouse, production areas and all service locations.

  • Ability to push and maneuver carts containing filters, tools, and supplies.
  • Must be able to lift weight up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk and operate a computer and keyboard with accuracy      and efficiency.
  • Must be able to stand and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
  • Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather      conditions.
  • Able to climb all types of ladders
