Duties and Responsibilities:  Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to: Standards & Technical Baseline Support: Support maintenance and implementation of the MDIOC Technical Baseline by applying established engineering standards, identifying documentation gaps and inconsistencies, and verifying compliance with approved systems engineering processes. Assist senior engineers in maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of Technical Baseline artifacts. Process Optimization & Integration: Support continuous improvement of MDIOC systems by assessing existing engineering processes, analyzing technical and operational data, and developing recommendations for process optimization. Assist with integration of new solutions across MDIOC environments and contribute to development and maintenance of the System-of-Systems (SoS) integration strategy and MDIOC strategic roadmap. Utilize systems engineering, data analytics, and modeling tools such as Power BI and Cameo to support requirements management, end-to-end traceability, system integration, modeling, Verification & Validation (V&V), change management, and automated reporting. Program Health & Technical Support: Monitor systems engineering activities and performance indicators and develop reports that provide visibility into overall program health. Analyze technical issues, identify trends and potential areas of concern, and provide findings and recommendations to senior engineers. Support development, review, and implementation of engineering plans and participate in technical reviews. Maintain and analyze system performance metrics to help identify, document, and resolve anomalies or performance degradation. Rapid Response & Anomaly Resolution: Support rapid assessment and resolution of system anomalies by collecting and analyzing technical data, documenting findings, evaluating potential solutions, and assisting with implementation of approved corrective actions. Participate in unscheduled technical support activities and respond to emergent engineering data calls while coordinating with senior engineers and affected stakeholders to minimize mission impact. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 3+ years' experience. Required Skills: 3+ years of experience in systems engineering (MDA preferred) and technical support to program management Experience in developing system requirements/specifications, engineering management plans, and interface control documents Ability to depict technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, and implementations in written and graphical form Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word Outstanding written and oral communication skills Desired Qualifications: Proven experience driving organizational change and challenging established norms to implement new, forward-thinking technical initiatives. Demonstrated ability to design, stand up, and execute new engineering governance structures, such as Engineering Review Boards, from inception rather than only maintaining legacy processes. Experience staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering best practices and providing technical guidance, oversight, and tradecraft mentorship to other systems engineers. Hands-on experience using systems engineering, data analytics, and optimization tools such as Power BI and Cameo. Experience using engineering tools for requirements management, end-to-end traceability, system integration, modeling, V&V support, change-management support, and automated reporting. Experience developing and managing system-of-systems integration strategies and strategic roadmaps. Experience establishing system performance metrics and using them to identify, report, and mitigate anomalies or degradation. DoD Level II certified in Systems Engineering (SPRD&E) or equivalent Training in systems engineering processes (INCOSE, PMI, or similar credential) Security Clearance Level Required: Active SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain one is required for this position.
