Position Overview
What you'll do
-
Develop, implement, and optimize plant layouts, process layouts, and material flow strategies to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Conduct cycle time studies, labor analyses, and workforce planning activities to support production requirements and capacity utilization.

Analyze production processes and balance manufacturing lines to maximize productivity and eliminate inefficiencies.

Perform ergonomic assessments and safety evaluations, implementing corrective actions to reduce risk and improve workplace conditions.

Lead and participate in industrial engineering studies, capacity analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Support new product launches and process transfers by establishing layouts, process flows, cycle times, and staffing requirements.

Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain standard work, operational metrics, and performance improvement plans.

Identify and remove industrial engineering-related barriers that may impact safety, quality, productivity, or delivery performance.

Who you are
-
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; 5+ years preferred.

Demonstrated experience conducting time studies, labor planning, cycle time analysis, and capacity planning.

Knowledge of plant layout design, process optimization, line balancing, and workflow improvement methodologies.

Experience performing ergonomic assessments and applying workplace safety principles in manufacturing environments.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.

Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred.

Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and occasionally assisting with moving materials weighing 50 pounds or more; ability to travel 10%+ as needed.
