About the Roles
Lakeland HR Solutions is currently seeking skilled Apprentice and Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Heavy Equipment Technicians) to join multiple premier clients across the Lakeland and Lakeland-adjacent regions.

Work Environments & Rotations

Local Shop Roles: Standard shift schedules with nightly home time (St. Paul, Elk Point, Bonnyville, Cold Lake).
Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic checks, preventative maintenance, and complete overhauls on heavy equipment, highway trucks, or industrial fleets (on-road and off-road).

Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.

Maintain clear service logs, work orders, and inspection reports.

Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, field regulations, and site hazard assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Certification: Registered Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice (1st to 4th year) OR Interprovincial Journeyperson / Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician (HET).

Experience: Hands-on experience working on heavy equipment (Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere) or heavy-duty highway trucks.

Drivers License: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract (Class 1 or 3 is a strong asset).

Safety Tickets: Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSTS/BSO (asset or willing to obtain for camp/oilfield sites).

Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a safety-first mindset.
