Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Supplier Approver Co-op will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and food safety of all new and existing packaging and ingredient items. You’ll support the Procurement and Sourcing teams while working closely with R&D, Sourcing, and Quality Assurance to maintain compliance with FGF’s food safety standards. This role involves direct communication with supplier quality representatives, managing documentation, and supporting audits to keep our supply chain safe and reliable.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate food safety and quality requirements to suppliers
• Review and validate supplier documentation to minimize risk
• Upload and maintain supplier information in SAP and Blackbox systems
• Keep food safety records updated and organized
• Assist with on-site visits for high-risk supplier approvals
• Share material approvals and changes with relevant departments

Key Qualifications

• Pursuing post-secondary studies in Food Safety, Quality Assurance or related field
• Knowledge of food safety programs (e.g., BRC, HACCP), GMP standards, and QA systems
• Strong communication skills to act as a liaison between internal teams and external supplier
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively
• Attention to detail and familiarity with manufacturing processes
