Qualifications
- Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner license upon hire
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire
- Previous experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred but not required; new graduates may be considered
- Proficiency in respiratory therapy equipment, ventilator management, airway clearance techniques, and oxygen therapy
- Strong communication, attention to detail, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and compassionate patient care
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
- Set up and operate ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory equipment
- Administer respiratory therapies including aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate patient records and respond to emergency situations (e.g., code blue)
