Engineering Advisor – Reliability applies deep expertise in reliability practices to independently deliver client solutions and advise on Baker Hughes reliability methodologies. This role drives innovation, continuous capability improvement, and the adoption of emerging technologies. As a recognized subject matter expert, you will lead by example, support others’ growth, and proactively strengthen Baker Hughes’ strategic position as a global leader in reliability solutions.
As an Engineering Advisor - Reliability, you will be responsible for:
Lead and facilitate structured problem solving sessions using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
Conduct and ensure the effective application of Reliability Studies utilizing various reliability tools, including but not limited to FMECA, Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis, and RCA.
Manage, analyze, and interpret reliability data with strong data handling and IT capabilities to support decision making.
Provide project management and administrative oversight, ensuring initiatives are delivered according to scope and objectives.
Effectively manage time, budgets, and deliverables to meet project and business requirements.
Actively support and contribute to business development activities, including client engagements and solution development.
Coach and mentor team members to strengthen capability and knowledge in reliability engineering practices.
Deliver training programs on Reliability Methods for client inhouse sessions and public seminars focused on Asset Strategy Management.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have Master’s Degree in Engineering Discipline or 15 years of Maintenance and/or Reliability experience.
Have experience in the application of reliability methods and techniques gained within relevant industry.
Have experience in data analysis including extraction from various data sources the ability to summarize data into conclusions.
Have experience in leading multi-disciplined groups in the facilitation of problem solving and/or process / maintenance improvement studies.
Have strong commercial acumen and experience in project leadership and execution.
