Job Description:

Philanthropic Client Managers (PCMs) are experts in the management of endowment and foundation investment management and trust accounts. They are responsible for providing operational support and executing fiduciary duties in compliance with all laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Philanthropic Client Managers are also responsible for considering the unique aspects of their clients circumstances in order to proactively provide advice and solutions to clients in nonprofit and private philanthropy accounts. Additionally PCMs have shared responsibility with the Private Bank's Institutional Client Advisor (ICA), Private Client Advisor (PCA), Endowment and Foundation Specialist (EFS), and Philanthropic Strategists for the management and growth of their relationships and responsibility for delivering client service and overall client satisfaction for their endowment and foundation investment management and trust accounts.

Institutional Investments & Philanthropic Solutions (II&PS), part of Bank of America Private Bank, provides customized investment management, philanthropic administration and strategic consulting services to nonprofit organizations, foundations and charitable families. The team helps clients strengthen governance, optimize grantmaking and operational effectiveness and align financial resources with long-term strategic goals.

With approximately $100 billion in nonprofit and private foundation client assets, II&PS combines deep sector expertise with institutional investment capabilities to support organizations at every stage of their growth and evolution. Through ongoing investment in talent, technology, and enterprise partnerships, the team is well positioned to help clients navigate complex fiduciary and operational challenges while maximizing their impact.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Expertise in fiduciary and trust administration and ability to lead the delivery of philanthropic solutions products and solutions
  • Understand and apply policy in reviewing and approving client transactions (money movement, maintenance, onboarding, etc.)
  • Partner and coordinate with teammates in relationship management and fulfilment activities, including account opening and closing, money movement, account maintenance, etc.
  • Deliver the branded client experience through proactive client engagement, thought leadership and thorough consideration & resolution of client issues
  • Understand fiduciary duties, identify potential risks and exercise appropriate judgement, engage Fiduciary Specialists as needed
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and application of Private Bank policies
  • Ability to deeply understand governing agreements and manage within Private Bank policy and servicing norms
  • Partner well with internal advisor teams, being responsive, accurate to inbound inquiries, client issues, and escalations
  • Prompt follow up on client & partner issues with timely, complete resolution and education, process improvement, where needed.
  • Deliver client value through ongoing discovery of client needs and delivering the enterprise
  • Lead the timely review and completion of fiduciary risk activities and metrics ahead of monthly deadlines
  • Available to serve and support clients through seasonal business cycles by client type (ex. Lead heavier grantmaking activity during Q4)
  • Ability to lead, triage, prioritize and manage significant workloads in a team environment

  • Customer service and financial services or nonprofit/endowment and foundation experience preferred
  • Able to work with internal operations teams to resolve questions
  • Able to understand and analyze legal documents
  • Able to analyze and resolve complex issues
  • Able to handle calls with internal partners, outside institutions, and outside counsel

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability and inclination to learn and respond quickly, multi-task effectively
  • Experience in philanthropy/philanthropic services is a plus and would add value
  • Experience working in a Trust/Fiduciary setting and expertise in executing on the Fiduciary standard and related trust operational processing
  • Experience with high-demand client services
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently handle significant volumes of work
  • Experience in financial services, ideally in the endowments and foundations space

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent

Pay range

$90,800.00 - $158,600.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
