DaVita is hiring an Administrative Assistant Patient Care Technician to provide administrative support to a Team while making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. This position will be housed out of our Apple Avenue Dialysis outpatient center located in East Muskegon, MI.

• As an Administrative Assistant, you'll be a part of a Team where your personal and professional growth are top priorities.
• As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.
• Discover a day in the life of a PCT and learn how our PCTs & RNs cannulate patients to start dialysis.
• In this support role you will ensure the timely and accurate completion of change requisitions, treatment logs, patient charts, invoices and purchase orders.
• You also will assist patients with transportation arrangements and physician appointments.

PCT & Administrative Assistant Schedule Requirements

You will be scheduled to work 2-3 weeks in advance so you will know which shifts are AA or PCT shifts.

• Monday- Saturday, work a rotating schedule of 3-4 shifts per week
• Shift start and end times: MWF 4am-10pm & TTS 4am-6pm
• Shifts range from 8,10,12 hours, alternate opening and closing shifts
• AA shifts will be scheduled within M-F 8am-5pm
• Work set schedules at 3 clinics within the Greater Muskegon area, 1 clinic located 15min south in Grand Haven, and the ocassional shift in Newaygo, MI.
• All clinical positions are required to float to neighboring clinics to make full-time hours.

Requirements

• Pass a drug screen & background check.
• We seek a personable individual with excellent computer and clerical skills (Microsoft Office).
• Type 60 WPM with minimal errors; attention to detail is key in healthcare.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Obtain CMS- approved Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification within the first 6 months, and operate as a PCT when scheduled for PCT shifts.
