About the Job:
Schilling Beer Co. is seeking dedicated Support Team Members to join our front-of-house team in a part- or full-time capacity. These positions include host, food runner, and barback roles.
We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain a positive attitude, and are passionate about creating an exceptional guest experience. Support team members are often the first and last point of contact for our guests and play a vital role in making them feel welcome. This role also includes opportunities to learn about our award-winning beer and share that knowledge with guests.
Compensation: Starting at $14/hour. With gratuities, hourly earnings average $18–$25+/hour.
Duties & Expectations:
- Greet and care for our guests like family.
- Rotate through three stations: host stand, barback, and expo (food running).
- Handle a fast-paced atmosphere with professionalism and efficiency.
- Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that ensures guests have a memorable visit.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment (bar, server, and dining areas).
- Buss tables promptly and proactively, without needing to be asked.
- Follow all State of NH alcoholic beverage service guidelines and comply with safety/sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with teammates and management to keep service smooth during busy periods.
- Contribute to the positive culture and growth of Schilling Beer Co., with many opportunities for advancement.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role possesses:
- A positive, upbeat attitude and a friendly demeanor, including during fast-paced service.
- Willingness to be flexible and support in various ways (organizing, cleaning, managing guests and the waitlist, clearing tables, restocking glassware, appetizer and entree inspection and delivery, etc.).
- Strong initiative-i.e. going above and beyond without being asked - a passion for details, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Multi-tasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to lift approximately 40 lbs.
- Open and flexible availability to work midday, nights, weekends and select holidays.
- The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
