Senior Business Banking Officer

Summary of Role:

This role is responsible for generating new business, locating and developing new clients, meeting sales and revenue objectives, and promoting Broadview awareness in the community. The Sr. Business Banking Officer provides solutions and information services to employers and employees who have qualified or might qualify for Broadview membership and solicits new business including: business account products, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), commercial loan and insurance referrals. 
 

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Actively promote, develop and manage business relationships.  
• Facilitate and host presentations for employer groups / businesses on Broadview products and services. 

• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, presentation skills and adhere to all of Broadview’s service standards. 
• Optimize selling time and results by effectively managing portfolio assets. 
• Accurately evaluate sales opportunities to determine the future value of that customer; assess the customer’s interest and commitment to buy and implement solutions as well as own organization’s ability to deliver those solutions. 
• Effectively explore alternatives and positions to reach mutually beneficial sales agreements that gain customers’ acceptance and commitment 
• Identify the most promising new sales opportunities by uncovering emerging business and market issues and then identifying potential customer organizations and their influential decision makers who would be interested in improving business results.  

• Able to analyze and mine SEGMGR, FSP and CRM databases and perform necessary maintenance. 
• Initiate and participate in on-site account opening days at employer group / business locations – able to open new member and business accounts. 
• Develop and facilitate employer group / business and member presentations.   
• Identify, solicit and develop member and community events. 
• Able to attend all appropriate job-related seminars and community events.   

• Identify and sell member and business solutions such as business account products, HSA’s, commercial loans, personal and business insurance products.  
• Solicit member loan applications. Review and approve all consumer loan products. 
• Research, target and solicit new employer groups / businesses, contact and cultivate potential business account relationships, and provide orientation sessions to employees. 
• Manage existing employer group relationships with an emphasis on member penetration. 
• Establish and maintain high visibility in the community. 

• Responsible for all business related transportation. Must be available to travel as needed within Broadview market areas to call on businesses, community groups, agencies and members.   
• Able to work some nights and weekends.  

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.  

• Five (5) to Ten (10) years of Sales/Credit Union experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Excellent public speaking skills. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• High level of professionalism; Ability to represent Broadview through actions and appearance.  

Compensation: $77,376-$96,720, plus a competitive benefits package
