Description
A large, respected health system in South Mississippi is seeking an accomplished Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing across its flagship regional hospital.
This is a significant executive opportunity with responsibility for approximately 1,500+ nursing FTEs across a 500+ bed, complex acute care hospital serving patients throughout South Mississippi.
The incoming CNO will inherit an experienced nursing leadership team and an organization that has invested significantly in its workforce, leadership infrastructure and future.
The Opportunity
- Lead approximately 1,500+ nursing FTEs across a broad range of inpatient services
- Set nursing strategy around retention, engagement, quality, staffing and patient experience
- Strengthen shared governance and professional nursing practice
- Advance nursing technology, virtual nursing and workforce innovation
- Help lead the organization's journey toward Pathway to Excellence, with Magnet as a longer-term vision
We are seeking an established CNO, ideally with 3–5+ years of successful CNO experience in a large, complex acute care environment and a demonstrated record of improving nursing workforce, quality and operational outcomes.
RN, BSN and an advanced degree required (if Master's not in Nursing, must hold BSN). Doctorate preferred.
The organization offers a generous executive compensation package, annual bonus incentives and relocation assistance.
This is an onsite executive role in South Mississippi, and relocation is required.
