POSITION SUMMARY:

Technician, Access Control participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the security technology infrastructure.

He / She ensures that  system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners to perform their duties securely and efficiently.

He / She will assist technical and operational teams; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and maintaining the security technology solutions.

He / She is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and on-going maintenance of security technology systems software and related infrastructure including:

• macro programming
• backup
• technical support

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Main responsibilities will include:

• Manages and maintains the Security Alarm, Access Control, Key Management, Radio communications systems as well as other aspects of security system.
• Manages and maintains the security database.
• Manages and administers the security ID and access badging.
• Conducts troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for the system.
• Manages all related documentation.
• Works closely with the security team to achieve objectives.

2. Performs daily operational activities, which includes:

• Performs Moves, Adds and Changes for devices.
• Administers security services, technology, devices and sites.
• Performs patches.
• Performs upgrades.
• Works with technical team, hardware and software vendors to resolve problems.

3. Manages and resolves outages, which includes:

• Administrates works requests for security technology.
• Regularly reports status and problems to supervisor.
• Assigns problem ownership.
• Performs post-issue follow up as needed.
• Engages vendor account service manager for escalation issues.

4. Conducts troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for the system.

5. Provides project and proactive technical support. 6. Must be flexible and provides occasional weekend and off hours support, as well as participating in on-call rotations.

7. Compiles metrics reports as required.

8. Manages and maintains all related documentation.

9. Participates in technical meetings, scheduled client meetings, or vendor review meetings.

9. Coordination of other services and systems including Lockers, Helpdesk, liaison with Information Technology; Network Performance monitoring and any other technical services as required from time to time.

10. Performs all duties as directed by the Senior Operations Manager, Security & Surveillance Technology or the delegated authority and in accordance with all Policies and Procedures, laws and regulations applicable to the Department and Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

• More than 2 years’ experience in customer services, preferably in security, IT, electronics, automation or related fields.
• Previous experience administering security technologies including Access Control, Security Alarm Systems, and Key Management Systems preferred, Building Management Systems, Fire Alarm Systems and Property Management System would be an advantage.

Education

• College Diploma or Bachelor Degree With relevant qualifications in Electronics, Computer Science, Automation engineering or equivalent would be an advantage.
