Overview
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Video Teleconferencing Solutions Architect to support a major national laboratory.
The scope includes a comprehensive review and update of existing documentation, collaboration with Cybersecurity teams to address feedback and requirements, and the development of any new supporting documentation, processes, or procedures necessary to meet the updated standards. The project may also involve the implementation of new controls or process changes to ensure full compliance.
This is a Part-Time Position.
Responsibilities
Develop and Document Migration Plan to Secure Hub Bridging
- Identify migration tasks and establish timelines
- Develop communication plan and instructional documentation for customer employees to request secure hub accounts, install Jabber clients and schedule secure hub meetings.
- Identify and document how planned outages will be communicated to government stakeholders
- Support Model & SLAs – Help define severity levels, response/resolution times, coverage hours, escalation paths, and on call expectations for Secure Hub.
- Training & Adoption - Specify technician and end user training deliverables, quick reference guides
Develop and Document Migration Plan to Security Network Bridging

- Identify how scheduling will be performed
- Support Model & SLAs – Help define severity levels, response/resolution times, coverage hours, escalation paths, and on call expectations for secure hub.
Review and Gap Analysis
Collaboration and Feedback Integration
Engage with Cybersecurity and respond to feedback from the system security manager team to ensure all concerns and compliance requirements are addressed.
Documentation Update and Development
Update existing security plan documentation to reflect the new control requirements and develop any new supporting documents as needed to support compliance and operational effectiveness.
Process and Procedure Development
Identify and develop new processes or procedures required by the updated standards, ensuring they are practical, clear, and implementable.
Implementation Support
Assist in the rollout and implementation of new or revised processes and procedures, including training or communication as necessary to ensure smooth adoption.
Compliance and Readiness
Ensure that the revised security plans and associated documentation fully comply with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 and are ready for any internal or external audits or reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties.
- Related experience may be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Required Skills:
- Deep Understanding of Teleconferencing and Collaboration Solutions
- Experience working in enterprise video teleconferencing enterprise solutions
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and information Technology best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with IT and business teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of PEXIP interop, Enterprise Secure Network infrastructure solutions
Desired
- Experience in a highly regulated industry or government sector.
- Knowledge of CISCO video conferencing solutions
