About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead software engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (advanced Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data
- Experience designing agent orchestration and multi-step AI workflows.
Job Expectations:
- Independently manage automation use cases from requirement gathering to deployment
- Experience with API integrations, enterprise connectors and system-to-system connectivity
- Experience with data ingestion, file processing, and transformation workflows
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SharePoint, ServiceNow, and Workday
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and automate existing processes
- Deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable automation solutions
- Continuously improve automation frameworks and adopt best practices
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless solution integration
- Design and implement AI-powered automation solutions using LLMs and enterprise AI platforms
- Build intelligent agents and copilots to automate business workflows
- Integrate AI services with enterprise applications and data sources
- Develop solutions for document processing, summarization, and conversational interfaces
- Ensure compliance with enterprise AI governance, security, and privacy standards
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI agents and intelligent workflow solutions using Enterprise AI platforms or equivalent enterprise GenAI platforms
- Expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Apps)
- Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), enterprise knowledge retrieval, grounding strategies, and document-based AI solutions
- Experience in chatbot development, conversational workflows, or LLM-based platforms
- Strong development skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & ability to work independently with minimal supervision
