Description

We are looking for a Client Relationship Manager to support our Sales team! We are looking for well developed, complex territory/account plans, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting.
The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking an Associate Manager Animal Production to support out Cambridge City, IN site.
The Pay Range: $90,000 - $95,000. Exact annual base salary may vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to: geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.The Schedule: Monday - Friday, core business hours.

The Role:
Oversees the production and care of the animals for various colonies in assigned production areas. Ensures compliance with all standard operating procedures, including monitoring the employees, buildings, and equipment. Provides guidance and training as needed to subordinate staff by performing the following duties.
Core Responsibilities:
Inspects production reports, documents, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to verify conformance to specifications and ensures that work proceeds according to customer production requirements.
Reviews customer complaints and order difficulties with Supervisors, writes corrective action report, and reviews corrective action(s) with Director.
Studies production schedules and estimates facility and staff requirements for completion of job assignment. Oversees building and equipment operation and maintenance for department(s).
Assists with coordinating the monthly work unit meeting and developing the agenda.
Interviews and hires new employees and employee transfers.
Advises Supervisors on annual evaluations. Reviews annual evaluations for consistency, prior to implementation. Reviews and approves requests for grade promotions.
Reviews employee probationary and disciplinary actions with Supervisors prior to implementation.
Trains Supervisors in their job responsibilities. Writes new and revised SOP’s relevant to department(s). Review internal audits of SOP compliance by Supervisors and determine areas requiring additional employee training.
Designs and/or implements training modules for designated production areas.
Assists Director with quarterly, monthly and annual reports. Assists Director with cost allocation review such as payroll reports and direct costs allocation.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, including determining building configurations based on capacity issues.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems, makes recommendations to management, and implements changes as approved. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Responsible for evaluating, training and motivating staff and ensuring that all appropriate administrative and performance related documents are promptly and properly filled out and returned.
Maintains time, production and training records. Prepares reports on a regular basis.
Estimates, requests, and inspects supplies and materials necessary to complete contracts.
Assists with the preparation and evaluation of department needs and lab requirements.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Communicates with customer facing staff to ensure customer needs are being met on a timely basis. Keeps them and other management informed of problems or concerns that may require their attention.
May on occasion perform the activities of workers supervised
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level.
- AALAS LAT certification preferred
- Experience in a technical or specialized field requiring extended training to perform a wide range of assignments and resolve non-standard problems. May require supervisory experience. 2-5 years of relevant experience and/or training.
