The opportunity
Job Summary
Copies Plus Student Employees provide high-quality print production and customer service to the Southern New Hampshire University community. Student staff assist students, faculty, staff, and campus organizations with a variety of printing and finishing services, including copying, poster printing, laminating, binding, and specialty projects. Employees also support the Office of Student Involvement by assisting with equipment reservations and other operational needs. This role contributes to creating a welcoming, efficient, and service-oriented environment while helping build community and support student engagement across campus.
Job Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality print materials, including copies, posters, laminated items, bound documents, and other specialty print products.
- Operate and maintain print production equipment, including large-format printers, high-volume copiers, laminators, binding equipment, paper cutters, helium tanks, and other office equipment (training provided).
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, including clearing paper jams, replacing toner and ink cartridges, and communicating technical issues to support staff when needed.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for individual, departmental, and student organization transactions while accurately handling cash and electronic payments.
- Ensure customer orders are completed accurately, meet quality standards, and are ready by established deadlines.
- Recommend products and printing solutions that best meet customer needs.
- Track and manage equipment reservations using Microsoft Outlook or other scheduling systems.
- Perform general office duties, including responding to emails, sorting mail, filing documents, and entering data.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Support the Office of Student Involvement through special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at Southern New Hampshire University.
- Federal Work-Study eligibility is required for this position. Applicants must have an active Federal Work-Study award.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to learn new technology and operate specialized printing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs.

Work Schedule
- Flexible scheduling based on class availability and office operational needs.
- Typical schedules range from 8–20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Evening availability may be expected at times.
- Additional hours may be available during campus events, peak production periods, and semester transitions.
- Attendance at required staff meetings, trainings, and occasional employee appreciation events is expected.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
