Position Description:

The PEACC Center within the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Louisville is seeking to hire a Community Resource Coordinator IV. The Community Resource Coordinator assists to design, coordinate and present information and programming to end power-based personal violence in the University and surrounding community through prevention, education and public awareness. This position also provides support and assistance to students impacted by sexual assault, dating violence or stalking. The Community Resource Coordinator regularly delivers presentations to various students, University groups and stakeholders and leverages social media and creates marketing materials to expand outreach initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Senior Manager to design, coordinate and present personal violence prevention programming and education to the campus community

  • Assists in the development and implementation of projects designed for University functions such as Freshman Orientation, Welcome Week, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, etc.

  • Leverages social media and creates marketing materials to increase public awareness outreach for personal violence prevention and programming

  • Presents domestic violence prevention advocacy services to students introducing campus, community and external resources, services and referrals

  • Serves on campus and community committees as The PEACC Center representative and develops collaborative partnerships to strengthen prevention initiatives throughout the campus community

  • Supports The PEACC Center’s daily operations including performing administrative tasks, completing intakes and managing emergency needs.

  • Assists with other Division initiatives and operations as necessary including, but not limited to, freshman orientation, Welcome Week, and resident move-in events

  • Performs other duties and completes special projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health, psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, or a related field

  • Two (2) years of professional experience related to prevention or advocacy programs

  • 40-hour Victim Advocacy Training certification

  • 40-hour Green Dot Instructor Training certification

  • Sexual Harassment Prevention training certification

  • Experience designing and implementing successful outreach programs

  • Experience effectively working with diverse populations

  • Experience participating on committees for coalition-building

  • Experience working constructively in an institutional setting

  • Marketing and/or graphic design experience

Work Hours and Location

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a 37.5-hour regular workweek including evening and weekend hours as required. Additional work hours may be required based on department needs, programming, staffing, and/or scheduling. The primary work location for this position is at the Belknap Campus. Occasional overnight travel (for professional development, conferences, student trips, etc.) may be required.
