Job Title: Group Close Senior Analyst

Team Overview
The Group Close team governs the monthly Financial process that provides a golden source financial information data set upon which all internal and external reporting is based. The function covers management of the Group’s IFRS, HGB and FinRep closes, including Group consolidation and eliminations, and Restructuring and Restatements. Restructuring and Restatements Process encompasses changes in the organizational structure arising from management decisions, and the bank’s strategies. With these changes, financials are aligned accordingly for steering purposes and comparability reasons.
In addition to the proactive design and analysis of the end-to-end perspective including systems and process interfaces, it also ensures the efficient execution of processes by monitoring, issue handling, initiation of escalation processes, and that best knowledge about the process status and expected final consolidated results are available for Group Reporting. The function also ensures the implementation of related process controls, requires liaising with various stakeholders for issue resolutions & process improvements.

Your key responsibilities
The role is responsible for process, risk, stakeholder, and partly people management. It is the point of contact of the business in relation to both Group Close and Restructuring & Restatement process. The role involves processing, stakeholder management, bridging the process and governance to the business, ensuring that the business is able to understand and adhere to the governance and requirements as well as performing quality check to ensure adherence.
Control Environment - Execute control framework to ensure SLAs are met
- Perform Quality Assurance to ensure outputs are accurate, complete consistent and produced on time - in line with the SLA
- Maintain process documents to retain the integrity of the control environment
- Create, update and review KCP and QA checklist to ensure RTB tasks are performed in accordance to their CTQ’s, and deliver expected results
- Proactively manage Process Risk using available tools and technology
- Support team resiliency, ensuring cross-training and back-ups are in place, not only from MTA absence perspective, but also from key-man / attrition risk and routine staff rotation perspective
- Act as a process expert to be able to perform effective review of Financials and submissions. Also assist the TL in identifying the team's training needs, leveraging the existing process and technical process training.
- Timely escalation to Team Lead of potential process and reputational risk
- Provide operational metrics for decision-making.
Exception Management – Perform exception management tasks
- Be the first point of contact (POC) of the Business or LECs,or RCs, etc.
- Ensure that all escalations (from Onshore or within the team), at the minimum, are escalated to the Team Lead, and closed in a timely manner.
Connectivity – Manage the stakeholders and ensure client focus
- Support a positive working relationship with Clients and key stakeholders - onshore and offshore (inter and intra workstream).
- Consistently maintain a high level of customer service with focus on improvement and innovation
- Participate in Engagement /Business Review calls with key stakeholders.
Change – Drive, coordinate and ensure delivery of change initiatives
- Provide Process Expertise and give inputs on process in collaboration with Team Lead and business partners
- Identify the areas of process improvements and remediation
- Support the Team Lead for Change Implementation from RTB standpoint which includes but not limited to FTE impact and/or resource requirements of any change initiative
- Drive innovation specially on AI and support projects within immediate sphere of control

Your skills and experience
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience in Financial analysis and/or reporting, and general accounting
- Highly preferred to have focus on internal controls and integrity of data, attention to detail and accuracy, and have the ability to solve difficult problems through careful and systematic evaluation of information.
- Able to effectively work and collaborate with others towards common goals and objectives.
- Adapts quickly and positively to changing situations, restructuring tasks and priorities as circumstances develop within the business and organization.
- Excellent team worker, able to work with different teams and a global organisation
- Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness, be focused and able to explain results, escalate issues where needed
- Experience in working in an environment with a strong customer focus, with experience of proactively working with demanding customers in a flexible manner
- High level of flexibility, adaptability and innovation
