This position assists in developing processes, procedures, and reporting tools to collect, analyze, and interpret operational and financial data. The Analyst provides analytical support for contract administration, procurement activities, contractor performance, budgeting, invoice processing, and business process improvement while ensuring accurate reporting and effective tracking of division performance under the direction of the Manager of Operations Support Services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects, processes, and maintains data for analysis. Develop business and financial reports and metrics. Collects data and analyzes trends in the flow of contracts, operations, and maintenance materials and equipment to maximize efficiency.
Monitor contractor performance to assess ability to meet quantity and delivery requirements.
Processes and tracks monthly contractor invoices and helps develop spend analysis.
Participate in inter-departmental task forces charged with improving business processes and performance.
Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Provides detailed analysis of end-to-end performance. Documents, tracks, and reports the flow of contracts, operations, and maintenance materials.
Designs automated methods to enable more efficient capture of business processes and data, utilizing graphs, tables, and charts.
Monitors contractor activity and analyzes requirements developing strategies to achieve desired results.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or related field.
Two (2) years of professional experience in Business or Data Analysis.
Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen to operate DART non-revenue vehicles.
Intermediate proficiency of PC software applications to include Microsoft Office or other related software applications.
Knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.
Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritizes and execute multiple priorities.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
