Job Description:
Job Summary
This position monitors safety compliance, audit requirements, and inbound and outbound operations for UPS Small Package aircraft loads. He/She develops training plans for part-time supervisors to ensure employee certifications are current. This position supervises ramp operations, including monitoring external factors that could impact sort operations such as weather or flight delays. He/She oversees package handling to reduce damages and misloads and evaluates the need for aircraft or equipment changes to avoid delivery delays. This position tracks certification expiration dates to identify needed training sessions and completes recertification training to maintain compliance. He/She facilitates safety compliance by observing work group safety, conducting safety training, and reviewing employee suggestions and audit results to ensure implementation of safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors on-time statistics and reports to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Audits the sequence of aircraft load and unload procedures.
- Oversees monthly employee audits.
- Supervises others and determines employee training needs, including new hire training to produce continuous development plans.
- Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
- Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs/32 kgs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
