BUILD THE BOATS THAT ANGLERS TRUST!

Sea Fox Boats is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Rub Rail Installer to join our boat manufacturing team in Moncks Corner, SC.

The Rub Rail Installer is responsible for accurately measuring, fitting, cutting, bending, fastening, and installing rub rail around the perimeter of fiberglass boat hulls. This position plays an important role in protecting the hull while also ensuring the finished boat has the clean, professional appearance our customers expect.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Install rub rail and related components around fiberglass boat hulls according to production specifications.

  • Measure and mark hulls accurately to ensure proper rub rail placement and alignment.

  • Cut, fit, bend, and shape rub rail materials to match hull contours.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, drills, heat tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.

  • Apply marine-grade adhesives, sealants, and other bonding materials as required.

  • Secure rub rail using screws, fasteners, hardware, and approved installation methods.

  • Ensure rub rail is properly aligned, evenly fitted, and free of gaps, waves, buckling, or other imperfections.

  • Inspect completed work for quality, appearance, fit, and proper installation.

  • Identify and correct defects or installation issues before boats move to the next production stage.

  • Protect finished fiberglass and gelcoat surfaces from scratches, damage, and contamination during installation.

  • Follow production schedules while maintaining high standards for workmanship and quality.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company safety policies and required PPE procedures.

  • Work closely with supervisors and other production team members to maintain efficient boat production.

  • Perform rework and corrections as necessary to meet Sea Fox quality standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in boat building, marine manufacturing, fiberglass/composite manufacturing, trim installation required.

  • Experience installing rub rail, trim, molding, extrusion, or similar products is a strong plus.

  • Ability to accurately measure, mark, cut, and fit materials.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.

  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, production specifications, and quality standards.

  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.

  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to stand and work for extended periods.

  • Must be able to climb in and out of boats and work in confined or awkward positions.

  • Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, twist, and work overhead as needed.

  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may be hot, cold, dusty, or noisy.

  • Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
