Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is currently seeking applicants for a Section Manager - Production.

Job Location: Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia

This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience different exciting local cultures in this historical state.

What you will be doing:

• Lead and manage daily production operations to achieve targets for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Drive production efficiency through manpower planning, capacity optimization, and resource utilization.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, technicians, and operators to achieve operational excellence.
• Monitor production performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, cost reduction, cycle time, and yield improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage WIP, raw material control, inventory accuracy, material variance investigations, and on-time delivery performance.
• Conduct line audits and ensure compliance with operational standards and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
• Prepare production reports, monitor KPIs, and lead projects or assignments assigned by management.

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electronic, or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of labor law, disciplinary procedures, and manufacturing work instructions.
• Good problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SPC, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools are an advantage.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements is preferred.
• Experience in automotive, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing is an added advantage.
