Position Overview
Vizia Diagnostics is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Information Technology to lead and oversee the organization's IT function. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to join a growing company and play a key role in shaping the technology strategy, infrastructure, and support services that enable our business success.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Senior Manager, IT will lead a small team of IT professionals and manage third party IT service providers to deliver support for internal users as well as external clients that use Vizia’s LIS data transfer technologies.
This position requires occasional travel to meet with company clients and stakeholders (<5-10% of time).
This position is based on-site in Alpharetta, GA.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, IT will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight across all areas of information technology, including:
Lead IT Governance and Business Growth Initiatives
- Develop and maintain IT policies, standards and procedures; contribute to strategic technology planning and roadmaps and manage departmental budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare executive-level reports and performance metrics, and support technology due diligence, integration, and infrastructure planning for acquisitions, business expansions and new business initiatives.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT employees, both on-site and remote.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and professional development opportunities, and support ongoing training initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture that promotes accountability and continuous improvement.
IT Operations and Infrastructure
- Oversee the organization's technology environment, including SaaS platforms, Azure-based infrastructure, cloud services, automation tools, and emerging AI technologies.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems and services.
- Manage day-to-day IT operations while identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Project and Vendor Management
- Lead and coordinate internal technology projects from planning through implementation.
- Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams on technology initiatives that support organizational goals.
- Manage relationships with multiple outsourced IT providers, including performance monitoring, contract oversight, and technical communications.
Data, Reporting, and Business Intelligence
- Develop and maintain reporting metrics that support informed business decisions.
- Oversee data aggregation, analysis, and business intelligence initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and visibility.
Compliance, Security, and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and information security standards.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain appropriate controls and documentation.
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks while promoting best practices in cybersecurity and data protection.
User and Client Support and Communication
- Serve as a trusted technology partner across the organization.
- Provide consultative support and troubleshooting assistance to users as needed.
- Maintain strong communication with company clients and stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel occasionally to meet with clients (<5–10% of time).
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience working in Information Technology within a healthcare environment.
- 5+ years experience managing and leading an IT team.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and related cloud services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting technology operations within a healthcare laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of Novopath 360, Novopath Interoperability Platform (DXE), Health Level 7 (HL7), Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), Azure & Power BI.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISM, or equivalent.
