The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Java (11/17), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Develop AI-powered applications and autonomous agents using Python and modern AI frameworks.
- Design and implement Agentic AI solutions capable of planning, reasoning, orchestration, and tool invocation.
- Build and integrate AI agents with enterprise systems using REST APIs, GraphQL, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and event-driven architectures.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Amazon Nova, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI models into enterprise applications.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS using Lambda, EKS, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, IAM, and API Gateway.
- Build responsive web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Design high-performance relational database solutions using Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DB2.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Ensure application reliability through observability using Splunk, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Kiro, or similar developer productivity tools.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java (11/17), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA.
- Strong Python programming experience.
- Hands-on experience developing AI agents or agentic workflows.
- Experience with LLM integration and prompt engineering.
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Amazon Bedrock Agents.
- Experience building REST APIs and GraphQL services.
- Strong knowledge of Microservices Architecture and Event-Driven Design.
- Experience with ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
- Strong SQL skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DB2.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Agile, and Scrum.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock, AWS AI services, or similar Generative AI platforms.
- Experience developing enterprise AI assistants, copilots, or conversational AI applications.
- Experience implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP), Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication, or AI agent orchestration.
- Experience with Keycloak, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, or enterprise identity platforms.
- Experience integrating Tableau, Power BI, or analytics platforms with AI solutions.
- Exposure to Vector Databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and semantic search.
- Experience with Kafka, JMS, SNS/SQS, or other messaging platforms.
Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

The typical base pay range for this role is as follows:
- New York / New Jersey: $169k-205k
- Non–New York / New Jersey: $153k-188k
depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
