Description
We’re looking for a professional, personable, and proactive Corporate Receptionist to work in a contemporary office building. Located in the heart of Edinburgh, the workplace offers a warm, welcoming environment and a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the reception and become the face of the building.
You should be an experienced receptionist taking pride in delivering a first-class tenant and visitor experience. You’ll have a can-do attitude and enjoy being proactive, ensuring any building issues are reported and managed. You will bring personality and efficiency to the role.
Salary - £21,840
Key Responsibilities
- You will become the face of the building, ensuring everyone receives a warm and professional welcome
- Take ownership of the reception area, always looking for ways to improve working processes and the service delivered to everyone visiting or working in the building
- Efficiently sign in all visitors to the building following appropriate reception processes
- Manage deliveries, including couriers and post
- Support the Building Manager by ensuring any building issues are reported, monitored and managed to resolution
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and employees
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments and managing office supplies
- Develop a good understanding of the local area and maintain a local amenities information file - becoming the ‘go to expert’ in terms of local knowledge
- Research and produce a monthly e-newsletter promoting initiatives and concierge services helping to create a community vibe
- Find out what’s happening locally and reach out to the local community to find supporting offers / discounts to help promote new businesses, local charities and encourage involvement with the building
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in a front of house reception role in an office environment
- Personable and proactive with a confident manner and able to deliver impeccable customer service
- Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to easily multi-task
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent PC user and confident using Microsoft Office and social media applications, and be willing to learn any in-house systems
