Description

Job Summary:

The Ramp & SARR Program Manager serves as the end-to-end orchestrator and controller for semiconductor equipment ramp readiness and installation execution at customer sites. This role ensures that pre-ramp and ramp-up activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established processes, while maintaining objective, data-driven visibility into readiness, risk, execution status, and performance. The role partners closely with Site Managers, Service Managers, iTeam, Business Units, Sales, customers, and support organizations to drive predictable ramp execution, transparent escalation, and continuous improvement across AMNA ramp programs.

Why This Role Matters:

  • Large customer ramps require early readiness discipline, aligned execution, and credible status integrity across safety, quality, cycle time, cost, and customer commitments.
  • The Ramp & SARR Program Manager provides a consistent operating model across ramp sites, reduces execution variability, and ensures leadership has clear visibility to risks, gaps, and actions.
  • Success depends on proactive pre-install planning, dashboard-driven governance, cross-functional alignment, and transparent escalation of red/yellow risks before they become install delays.

Key Responsibilities

Ramp Readiness & Pre-Ramp Planning

  • Lead comprehensive readiness reviews covering site readiness, tool configuration, schedule alignment, documentation, training, logistics, spares, and resource readiness.
  • Ensure pre-ramp requirements are reviewed against the applicable Ramp Readiness checklist / Ramp 4.x operating model.
  • Confirm ramp scope, tool list, milestones, customer-facing requirements, review cadence, and readiness gaps before execution begins.
  • Partner with Site Managers and regional focal points to review the ramp preparation schedule and adjust for site-specific customer requirements.

##

SARR Program Governance

  • Own SARR program rhythm across assigned ramps, including weekly account-level reviews, monthly regional reviews, and KPI-focused leadership reviews.
  • Use the RR Smartsheet / ramp readiness dashboard environment as the single source of truth for preparation, resourcing, documentation/training, and execution KPIs.
  • Drive disciplined issue tracking with clear owners, due dates, escalation paths, and closure expectations.
  • Capture lessons learned and feed improvements back into the SARR operating model, playbook, and training journey.

##

Execution Control & Risk Visibility

  • Serve as the objective Ramp Controller for status integrity: provide truthful, data-based ramp status and ensure risks are visible rather than hidden or locally masked.
  • Monitor milestones across pre-install, tool delivery, move-in, T0/T1/T2/T3, suspensions, startup, and CAR closure.
  • Identify schedule, resource, facility, documentation, quality, spares, and customer readiness risks early; recommend actions and escalation needs.
  • Partner with Site Managers and Service Managers, who own recovery execution, to ensure mitigation plans include actions, owners, and timelines.

##

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Align Sales, BU, FSO, iTeam, PSE/SSE/CE teams, customers, and support organizations around the ramp plan and execution priorities.
  • Maintain stakeholder communication across customer-facing and internal reviews, ensuring clear status, issue resolution, and decision transparency.
  • Coordinate handshake / handoff discipline between FSO and iTeam to prevent late surprises and ensure execution readiness.

##

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Review KPIs tied to safety, quality, installation cycle time, cost, customer readiness, resource readiness, and spares readiness.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly status updates, dashboard reviews, and executive summaries using the standard review template.
  • Analyze performance trends and root causes to identify improvement opportunities across individual ramps and the broader SARR process.
  • Support continuous improvement forums, ramp manager roundtables, and BKM sharing across AMNA ramp sites.

##

Resource, Logistics & Inventory Readiness

  • Review manpower requirements against latest installation plans, schedules, and approved ramp assumptions.
  • Coordinate resource planning with iTeam and regional leadership, including loan labor requests and support coverage as needed.
  • Monitor critical spares readiness and inventory indicators such as LWS, STP, and 24-hour hit rate to avoid install delays.
  • Validate equipment delivery, storage, handling, tooling readiness, and customer site logistics needed to support successful execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment installation, field service operations, project/program management, ramp execution, or similar large-scale operational environment.
  • Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of equipment installation lifecycle, customer site readiness, pre-install planning, resource planning, and execution governance.
  • Analytical Capability: Ability to interpret dashboards, KPIs, readiness data, milestone data, and issue trends to drive actionable decisions.
  • Communication: Strong executive communication, customer interaction, stakeholder alignment, and escalation management skills.
  • Tools: Proficiency with project management and dashboard tools; experience with Smartsheet, KPI dashboards, or similar execution management platforms preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or semiconductor customer ramp environments.
  • Prior leadership across cross-functional teams including FSO, iTeam, Sales, BU, PSE/SSE/CE, Supply Chain, and customer operations.
  • Experience with Ramp Readiness frameworks, Smartsheet-based execution governance, or SARR operating models.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or similar program/project management certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build repeatable operating models, improve execution discipline, and drive continuous improvement across multiple sites.
