Position Overview
The Urban Planning & Development Specialist will provide technical leadership in integrated urban planning, sustainable land use planning, climate-responsive urban development and infrastructure planning. The expert will support preparation of city development strategies, urban regeneration initiatives and planning frameworks that promote resilient, inclusive and sustainable urban growth.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare urban development strategies.
Review master/development plans.
Mainstream climate resilience.
Prepare investment plans.
Conduct land use analysis.
Integrate mobility, housing and infrastructure.
Assess infrastructure gaps.
Prepare planning guidelines.
Support policy reforms.
Develop implementation frameworks.
Coordinate multidisciplinary planning.
Support funding proposals.
Educational Qualifications
Essential: Master's in Urban/Regional/Town Planning, Architecture or related.
Preferred: Planning institute membership.
Professional Experience
8+ years in master planning, city development and climate-responsive planning.
Technical Competencies
Urban Planning; Land Use; Spatial Planning; Urban Design; Infrastructure Planning; TOD; Policy Analysis.
Preferred Sector Experience
Smart Cities; AMRUT; Urban Renewal; Mobility; Housing; Municipal Infrastructure.

Assignment Nature
Assignment Nature: Full-time project-based(contract)engagement with travel across India and coordination with government agencies for multiple locations mentioned below.
