We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer who will join a performance engineering team supporting American Eagle, a leading global retail brand. In this role, you will design and execute performance, load, stress, and stability tests, partner closely with development teams to validate system behavior under production-like conditions, and drive continuous improvement across the application’s performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Partner with development teams to design accurate performance test models and production-like load scenarios.
- Execute and analyze load, stress, and stability tests to validate system performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with developers and engineers to troubleshoot issues, support defect resolution, and verify performance fixes.
- Provide technical guidance to improve application performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability.
- Perform root cause analysis for performance issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Own the performance engineering lifecycle, define key metrics, and drive continuous performance improvements.
- Recommend improvements to performance testing processes, tools, and execution practices at American Eagle.
