Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Loss Prevention in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist guests and staff with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, lobby spaces, parking areas, exterior grounds, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment throughout the hotel or resort location.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
