Thermoforming Operator Assistant

Description

Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up machine to specifications outlined on the order
• Assist in setting up machine to standard time and procedure 
• Helps operate machine within standard production targets.
• Assists in troubleshooting machine when down or not performing to standard 
• Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance 
• Assist Thermoforming Operators on day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System
• Ensure correct roll spec are staged and changes rolls as needed to ensure Thermoforming lines continue production.
• Ensures grinder is functioning properly
• Assists with in-line inspection when necessary; completes any re-inspection that is ordered due to quality issues from assigned line
• Assist as needed to keep the Thermoforming lines in production.
• Adjusts machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and temperatures.
• Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member 
• Ensures work area is kept clean according to facility and corporate standards 
• Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met 
• Supports and maintains all activities related to Food Safety System (SQF), such as machine center cleaning schedules, checklists, and audits 
• All other activities as assigned by department manager Requirements 

Requirements

Required skills and competencies:

• HS Diploma/GED 
• 6 to 12 months of experience as a Thermoforming Machine Operator, or related experience 
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 
• Self-directed and independent with strong communication skills
