Job Description:

Job Summary

The Cybersecurity Intern supports ProPetro's IT security team while gaining hands-on experience. Working under the Information Security Manager, and together with a Cybersecurity Analyst, the Intern helps with security assessments, vulnerability tracking, documentation, and security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Help track and document vulnerability fixes.
• Help review and update security policies and procedures.
• Support incident response and disaster recovery exercises.
• Work to resolve IT support tickets related to user access and cybersecurity.
• Research security threats and trends and share findings with the team.
• Help with security awareness content for employees.
• Report potential security concerns to the Information Security team.
• Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always
• utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Other duties as assigned
  

Job Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• No prior work experience required; cybersecurity coursework, labs, or certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and networking.
• Eagerness to learn and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
