Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Customer Care in Wyandotte, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct access control activities, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to support badge access and reporting while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
