AP Accountant

Job Description:

1. End-to-End AP & Invoice Lifecycle Management

• Invoice Processing & Verification: Oversee high-volume 3-way matching (PO, good receipt, invoice)  and accurate posting of vendor invoices and credit memos into SAP.
• Payment Run Execution: Manage scheduled electronic payment runs and wire transfers, ensuring timely disbursements while optimizing working capital and payment terms.
• Vendor Statement Reconciliation: Perform regular vendor ledger reconciliations and resolve statement discrepancies, unbilled GR/IR, and invoice exceptions promptly.
• AP Automation Lead: Serve as functional expert to drive AP workflow automation, digital invoice ingestion, UAT, and continuous Procure-to-Pay process optimizations.

2. Financial Accounting & Compliance

• GL Integrity & AP Subledger: Reconcile the AP subledger to the General Ledger monthly, ensuring compliance with Local GAAP and Group Accounting Standards.
• Month-End AP Close: Execute month-end close activities for payables, including calculating and posting accurate AP expense accruals, GR/IR clearings, and tax verifications.
• Policy Stewardship: Apply divisional accounting policies and internal control frameworks to ensure audit-readiness (internal and external).

3. Operational Excellence

• Vendor Management: Lead complex vendor reconciliations and manage high-level queries to maintain healthy supplier relationships.
• AP Aging & Cash Forecasting: Monitor and analyze AP aging profiles and intercompany balances to provide accurate cash outflow forecasts and minimize financial exposure.
• Transaction Oversight: Oversee the processing of credit memos and adjustments in SAP, ensuring strict adherence to company approval hierarchies.
